A Message from Chris Lynn, President & CEO

Seniors Resource Center President & CEO Chris Lynn to Step Down in May 2026

Board of Directors to launch search for next CEO; organization poised for continued impact supporting older adults and caregivers

DENVER, CO — February 19, 2026 — Seniors Resource Center (SRC), whose mission is to help older adults stay safe, healthy, and independent in the place they call home, announced today that President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Lynn will step down from his role on May 29, 2026 to pursue retirement.

Since joining SRC in February 2019, Lynn has guided the organization through a period of meaningful growth, renewal, and strengthened commitment to the well‑being of older adults and their families. Under his leadership, SRC stabilized its operations, expanded essential services, and deepened its ability to meet the needs of a rapidly growing aging population.

Today, SRC serves more than 11,000 older adults each year through over 67,000 hours of care—ensuring that thousands of individuals can continue aging with dignity, safety, and connection in their own homes. Programs such as adult day services, in‑home care, caregiver support, and care management have grown into trusted lifelines for families across the Denver metro and surrounding communities.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this mission,” said Lynn. “When I joined SRC, we had important challenges to face. Together, we rebuilt our foundation, strengthened our programs, and reaffirmed our purpose: to ensure that older adults can continue living where they feel most at home. SRC’s work is profoundly human and we center our work around compassion and dignity, and it has been an honor to support the people who carry it out each day. I believe now is the right time for new leadership to guide SRC into its next chapter.”

Lynn’s tenure has been marked by a focus on organizational stability, staff development, and expanding the reach of SRC’s programs so more older adults can access support that helps them remain independent.

“Chris has been a steady and compassionate leader,” said Jessica Dunbar, SRC Board Chair. “He stepped in at a time when the organization needed clarity, care, and commitment. Today, SRC is stronger, more stable, and better prepared to grow its impact. The Board is deeply appreciative of Chris’s leadership, advocacy, and service to our mission. We will conduct a thoughtful, deliberate search for the next CEO—one who can continue shaping a bright and resilient future for the older adults and caregivers who rely on us.”

The Board of Directors will begin the CEO search at the end of February. A search committee has been formed to identify candidates who can build on SRC’s momentum and continue advancing its mission. Additional details about the search process will be shared in the coming weeks.

During the transition, Lynn will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to ensure smooth and uninterrupted support for clients, caregivers, and community partners. All programs and services will continue operating as usual.
