Introducing Our New Senior Director of Services: Chandra Matthews

We’ve selected Chandra Matthews to serve as our new Senior Director of Services effective August 12, 2025. Chandra brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advocacy and program development for older adults and their caregivers that aligns perfectly with our strategic priorities.

Professional Background

Chandra comes to us from the Chanda Center for Health, where she served as Executive Director. In this role, she:

     Led a multidisciplinary team delivering integrative, holistic healthcare services focused on improving outcomes and health equity for individuals with physical disabilities.

     Directed daily operations and managed financial oversight, including budgeting and compliance with state and federal regulations.

     Spearheaded strategic planning initiatives to enhance participant engagement, expand community outreach, and diversify revenue streams.

Her earlier experience includes leading aging services at Jewish Family Service, overseeing long-term care programs at Colorado Access, and managing Older Americans Act initiatives at the Denver Regional Council of Governments, giving her over 25 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, and healthcare settings.

Education & Recognition

Chandra holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. She has been recognized for her dedicated service to older adults and excellence in leadership and is actively involved in the community serving on the boards of the Colorado Office of Public Guardianship and the Colorado Center for Aging.

As a trained social worker, experienced care manager, and top-notch administrator, Chandra’s skill set and deep knowledge of older adult services in the metro area will be a great addition to SRC.
